. I was born in the Lyell McEwin Hospital. Elizabeth. South Australia. on 12th March 1966. My birth mothers name at that time was Joan Margaret Mitchell and she was 17 years old at the time of my birth. She also had a twin sister called Ruth. My Birth mother also stayed at the Y.W.C.A 410 Carrington Street. Adelaide and was a waitress. I was adopted by Gaius John and Betty Winchester who had emigrated to Oz and adopted me while they were there. We returned to England around 1971. I know that my birth mother knew my adoptive parents prior to my birth and that they took care of her in the months leading up to my birth and that she had visited me on occasions before we returned to UK. Apparently she got to know my adopted parents quite well and lived with them whilst she was pregnant with me. I have two children of my own now and would dearly love to find my birth mother and the possibility of finding other relatives. including my birth father. who was aware of the pregnancy but I do not know what his name was. I understand from records that he was a mechanic at the time of my birth. Please get in touch. I have had a good life but have always wondered about you and the possibility of other family members.
